Darrick Addison Values Professional Associations



Darrick Addison is a member of six different professional associations, all of which are important to his successful career in the information technology sector. Starting in 1994 while he was still an undergraduate, Darrick Addison became the President of the Association for Computing Machinery at South Carolina State University. Post-graduation, Darrick Addison joined the National Capital Area Council Consultants Network, the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Study Group, the Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer Study Group, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the National Independent Computer Consultants Association.

Darrick Addison values professional associations for several reasons. Firstly, they give his career a sense of validity. Some of his associations, particularly the Microsoft Certified Study Groups, are necessary for his career development. The certifications that he has received for this group allow him to pursue work in the information technology field. These associations demonstrate that Darrick Addison has the required skills to work successfully as a Software Engineer and Consultant.

Secondly, Darrick Addison enjoys the networking opportunities that arise from his professional associations. Many of his associations offer vocational assistance, and are committed to helping their members find work in the field. Although he currently manages a successful information technology and consulting firm, ASC Technologies, LLC, Darrick Addison still values the emphasis that his associations place on employment assistance.

Finally, Darrick Addison knows that his association memberships reflect his sense of professional self. His memberships indicate that he is a well-rounded businessman who is invested in all aspects of his career.
