Darrick Addison’s impressive career in the information technology
field started with his education at South Carolina State University. Darrick
Addison graduated from South Carolina State University in 1996 with Cum Laude
honors. He received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, with a
minor in Mathematics.
South Carolina State University was established in 1896, and is
located in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The university is a historically
African-American institution, and is a member of the Thurgood Marshall College
Fund. To this day, it is still the only state funded African-American
land-grant institution in South Carolina.
South Carolina State University is a smaller school, with
approximately 4500 students. However, what it lacks in study body size is
compensated by its impressive array of programs. It is the only university in
South Carolina to offer an undergraduate Nuclear Engineering program, a
Doctor's of Education program, and a Master’s of Science in Transportation.
South Carolina University’s programs rank highly among the state’s higher
education institutions.
